Brief Description of the MITM Learning Modules
The 12 Modules include:
- Research Summaries that detail what the research says about each Module topic.
- Learning Goals that describe what each Module intends to teach, based on the research used as a foundation for each Module.
- Tasks and Outcomes for Teachers that define specifically what teachers will be able to do after completing each Module.
- Get Ready! activities that provide adult learning experiences that set the stage for understanding the research that follows.
- Did You Know? video segments that show researchers conducting studies that illuminate the learning goals.
- What Do You Think? activities challenge learners to consider the implications of the research for their teaching.
- What Do You See? video segments that provide opportunities to observe how the new knowledge applies to everyday situations with young children in a variety of center and home-based settings.
- What Can You Do?Tips that offer concrete suggestions and strategies for putting new knowledge into action.
- Quotes from researchers to use and to share with colleagues and families.
- Moving On and Doing More activities that provide additional experiences in between the Modules to practice applying what has been learned.
